Drifting Away from God, week 2. Special Guest speaker: Craig Groeschel, Pastor of LifeChurch.tv!
This week we take another look at how to avoid drifting away from God...(in other words, how to run toward Him! :) )
I encourage you to write down / type out your answers to the questions that are asked in the video. Just simply pause the video, type out your response and save it for yourself, or post it so we can read it! I would love to get some great discussion started out of this video! So please start discussing! I will be posting my responses around Tuesday/Wednesday!
And in case you did not know, to comment simply click on the "comments" link at the top right of the video (right above it) (it will be there every week).
I look forward to some great discussion and hope God moves in you through the words spoken!
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world [you] that He gave His one and only Son [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in him [if you believe in him you] shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 1:12 - "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God..."
Romans 10:9-10 - "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
What does God’s Word (the Bible) say about you and leadership?
As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to be a leader!
“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Matthew 28:18-20
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.”2 Timothy 4:12
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”1Timothy 4:12
“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”1 Peter 2:21
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”1 Corinthians 10:31
(All verses are NIV – New International Version)
“We still have the opportunity to reach a lost and dying generation with the love of Christ. It’s your generation, it’s now in your hands, it’s now your watch. What are you going to do about it?”- Franklin Graham
